Hailing from the steel town of Scunthorpe, England. Life’s journey thus far has led The Chap to Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn, where he is currently holed up in a twilit basement with his fur mutt partner in chill – ‘Princess Mae Mae’.

At the top of 2021, side by side, the chap & his doughy, calico cat ‘Princess Mae Mae’ set about writing and starting to self produce a debut record – through the woes of lockdown – at his basement studio in Brooklyn. They brought in a few close friends to help: Sean Oakley (Frank Ocean / James Blake / Kate Tempest / Georgia), Michael Champion (Wet Leg / Champs), Mikey Wager (Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness) and from the corners of LA to NYC, to the UK, they created the record ‘Crying Season’.

‘Doh + Puh + Meen’ released today is the first step in the journey to ALT basement world domination. Comparable to Dr. Evil & Mr. Bigglesworth, but with peace, hair, dope songs and a lazier cat; submerged in an animated world.

In a previous re-incarnation The Chap made a record with Rick Rubin, toured the globe and synced/wrote music for brands and film houses – Burberry, Ben Sherman, Netflix and Blumhouse.

DOH + PUH + MEEN is where a new chapter begins, the journey continues, and this time The Chap is carrying a blanket full of songs to help ease the wandering minds of the masses, suffering from depression, isolation and the inner monologues that go with those difficult personal experiences.
